With lots going on and a great way to meet people, TouchBase Glasgow is a warm, welcoming hub for our service users. And the good news is that we’re growing the TouchBase model across Scotland.
The development of TouchBase in Glasgow was driven by a compelling vision to create a vibrant and welcoming space in the heart of the community. 30 years on and Sense Scotland’s TouchBase Glasgow is an ideal place to witness the original vision in action. Here you’ll find a bustling, inclusive community that reveals the benefits of encouraging independent living and discovering unique capabilities of all individuals.
TouchBase is one of Sense Scotland’s biggest contributions to developing a community. It offers a variety of registered group services or 1:1 support including access to expressive arts, music and drama. It’s also a place for the wider community.
As well as being a hub for our service-users, our café attracts local businesses to come along for lunch and enjoy the delicious menu, while our business centre provides excellent facilities for conferences and events.
All money raised is then spent on developing more facilities and services to support disabled people.
TouchBase is growing
We’re always thinking of new ways to share this amazing place with more people and it drives our ambition to identify new places to create more TouchBases.
TouchBase Glasgow has set the standard and we now have the recipe for a successful model which can be replicated across Scotland so that many more people can enjoy the life enhancing experience of TouchBase.
