What are our Day Support Services for Children and Young People?

Our Day Support Services for Children and Young People provide sessions for individuals who are school-aged up until the point they leave secondary education. 

Where are the services based?

Our Day Support Services for Children and Young People are based at TouchBase Glasgow in Kinning Park.

Who are the services suitable for?

Our services are suitable for school-aged children and young people with complex disabilities including some health needs, communication and sensory processing support needs, and physical and learning disabilities who are looking for a fun, stimulating, and safe environment to take part in activities, play, and try new experiences.

How do the services support young people?

Our staff team supports children and young people to plan what they would like to do during their session using their preferred communication method.  This might be baking, arts and crafts, swimming, or any other activity that they would like to try. The team supports all personal care, wellbeing and a range of healthcare needs.

What is covered by the service?

In-house activities such as arts and crafts, music, and other play resources are covered by the service. 

We will also plan additional activities, however, these may incur a cost. We will discuss and plan these activities with you in advance.

Transport to and from the service and out in the community, as well as activities and meals are not included in the hourly rate.
