Big Impact

Inclusive communication is at the heart of our work in Sense Scotland. We offer advice and training to families and external organisations on communication aids, technology and apps.

Partners in Communication Team

Our team aims to improve the practice of Sense Scotland and partner organisations. We work towards the following outcomes:

  • People have an increased expectation that their communication support needs will be met in most day-to-day situations and in all contact with public services
  • Social Care staff demonstrate effective knowledge and skills to meet the communication support needs of all people they support.
  • Public bodies and other organisations throughout Scotland meet the identified communication support needs of people using their services.

The lived experience of people supported by Sense Scotland informs case studies, resources and good practice guidance.
