Big Impact

We provide registered care services for adults and children with communication support needs associated with complex and sensory disabilities. Whether it’s a few hours a week or 24 hours a day, together we can create an individual programme that meets everyone’s needs, reflects their lifestyle and fulfils ambitions.

Services for adults

Day services

At Sense Scotland, we are committed to each individual’s growth in confidence and independence. That’s why we offer tailor-made programmes to meet your personal aspirations and needs. With experienced staff, an extensive range of activities and a tailored, person-centred approach, Sense Scotland is perfectly placed to support you and your family.

You can access a range of creative, educational and social activities, as part of a group or one-to-one with the support of our specialist staff.

Supported living

We believe everyone should have choices in how they live their lives and be part of the community. We’re committed to creating independent living opportunities for people with communication support needs. We can offer support for just a few hours a week, or 24 hours a day.

We help the people we support to develop skills like cooking their own meals or doing their own shopping or even meeting friends for coffee. Every service is tailor-made and designed with individual wishes, potential and independence in mind.

People have become rock climbers, artists, musicians, chefs, domestic gods and goddesses, holiday planners, rock stars, first class communicators, sports people, shoppers, independent bathers, fashionable dressers, technology users, tenants, shop assistants and many other roles besides.

Sometimes people want to dramatically change their lives and develop new capacities and identities that are ambitious and far-reaching. Sometimes people want to live quieter lives and learn how to cook for themselves, buy their own clothes, choose who comes into their home, find times for friends and family, take control of their day-to-day life. If we can help, then we will.

Services for children and young people

Children and young people’s services

Whether you need support during school holidays, after school, or in evenings and weekends, together we will create a plan to meet your needs. Our service for school-aged children and young people provides opportunities for individuals to develop their skills, take on new challenges and make friends.

Most of our support for children and young people up to 16 years old is in the West of Scotland, but we’d be happy to talk to you about what you need, wherever you live.

Short break services

Everyone deserves a much-needed break every so often to recharge the batteries. So whether you want to relax or try something new, we have a short break for everyone.

Blantyre short breaks

Our purpose-built short breaks building in Blantyre is a fun and friendly place for adults with communication support needs to relax, meet new friends and try new things.

Dundee Respite

Nestled in the heart of the City of Discovery is our short breaks bungalow for adults with communication support needs. Our skilled staff will work with you to plan a programme for your stay.

Enabler Services
