The Recruitment Team

Carly Crawford

Recruitment Lead
Glasgow

I began my Recruitment career at the age of 16 and never looked back. I have worked in the Nuclear and Care Sector, experiencing both Recruitment and Learning and Development environments.

After gaining my CIPD membership, I took a career break to travel South East Asia, before taking the step in 2017 to move to Glasgow for the big city life and the next chapter in my Recruitment career.

I’m definitely a people person and have a passion for travel. I love to socialise and connect with like-minded people, which is what attracted me to a career in recruitment!

I started with Sense Scotland in 2021. Passion, innovation, and integrity are at the heart of what I do and spending time working with people who share those values is rewarding.

Sense Scotland offers a unique environment to work in and I am proud to be part of this organisation.

Dawn Simpson

Recruitment Lead
Dundee

I’ve been part of Sense Scotland now for almost 4 years and unlike my colleagues I fell into recruitment. Based in Dundee, I began as a temp covering maternity leave and basically never left. Starting out in Recruitment Admin, I’ve worked my way up to Recruitment Lead fully embracing the challenges along the way.

With a background in Arts and Culture it seems like a world away from Recruitment but fundamentally it’s all about people. Working in concert halls and theatres, I’ve seen and spoken to so many people over the years – some famous and some not so much! – but all equally important.

I live and work by the ethos of treating all people with equal measure although it’s hard not to get a little star-struck. My claim to fame is I have ironed and stream pressed the stage clothes of Sir Tom Jones when he appeared at the Slessor Gardens in Dundee!

Sense Scotland is an organisation growing from strength to strength and with its people at the centre you really do feel like you are part of something special. With exciting times ahead, I’m honoured to be part of its future.
