Better Breaks Event – The Yard

The Early Years and Advisory Team have received funding through the Short Breaks Fund, which is resourced by the Scottish Government, to organise events for families across Scotland.

Our next outing will be to The Yard on Tuesday 4th July.

The Yard runs adventure play services for disabled children, young people and their families.

We have full private access to the indoor and outdoor space and resources for 2 hours. Come along, have some fun and get the opportunity to meet other families and Sense Scotland staff from across the county. Families are welcome to bring a packed lunch on the day.

Tickets are on a first come first served basis, which gets you and your family entry to The Yard. Sense Scotland staff will meet families at the main entrance from 10.00am and provide entry, from there families are able to enjoy access to The Yard. The session is from 10.00am – 12.00noon. Please note we are unable to provide transport – families are asked to make their own way to our events and sessions. The Yard has a limited amount of parking space and we have been advised that you can use the Tesco car park near by, if no spaces are available at The Yard.

Please note that due to our ticket allocation, we are only able to provide tickets for 2 adult parents/carers, 3 child/young person (this includes any siblings who may attend) with a disability, aged 0 – 20.
