Trio of new Sense Scotland shops announced

Three new Sense Scotland charity shops are among those opening when restrictions ease on Monday 26th April.
New shops in Leven, Motherwell and Rutherglen will help boost our income, and allow us to support disabled people to live meaningful and independent lives. Shop managers are expecting a surge in donations ā and a rush to our doors ā when we re-open for business across the country.
Head of Retail Sue Blair says: āWe’re delighted to have three new shops on the books and there’s been a lot of interest already from local communities keen to support us.
“We’ve had enquiries across all areas regarding donations – please hang on to your items if you can, until we open on the 26th April. We look forward to seeing our valued – and new – customers soon.”
With safety the paramount consideration, appropriate measures will be in place. This includes social distancing markers, till shields, one-way systems and easy availability of hand sanitiser. Donations will be subject to a 72-hour āquarantineā to minimise risk. Clothes will be steam cleaned and furniture cleaned and checked to high quality standards.
We are also looking for volunteers to help carry out a variety of shop duties, including creating window displays, assisting customers and working the till. Youāll gain retail experience with full training provided. Find out more about the benefits of volunteering with us.
