Arts Tutor Profiles

Dave is a freelance music facilitator based in Glasgow, Scotland with an overwhelming passion & enthusiasm for music.  Throughout his work, Dave has performed for thousands of people, received national press & airplay for many of his projects, and connected to audiences all over Europe. 

Dave is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, music tutor, sound engineer and facilitator with a BA in Music Performance from the University of the Highlands and Island and a BMus (Hons) in Music and Communities from the University of Aberdeen.  Dave has worked with many community groups and charities including Aberdeen City Council, Paragon Music, the Salvation Army, Glasgow Disability Alliance, Isobel Mair School, Rookie Rockstars, Kor! Records, Healthy Minds, YCSA, Capability Scotland, Waterbaby Dance and Sense Scotland. 

Over the past 8 years, Dave has become more strongly focused on the power of music to bring groups together, aid communication and build empowerment within individuals. He uses skills at a community level through workshops, lessons, sound editing and performances to encourage and empower others to experience creation and achievement and build self-confidence.
