Time to press the pause button!
Sense Scotland has secured funding from the Scottish Government’s short breaks fund and we are introducing a Creative Breaks Fund to provide support for parents and carers to take a break from caring responsibilities for their adult son or daughter.
So, if you’ve always wanted that weekend break; to take part in an evening class; to arrange an outing with friends or just try something new, then we can help. The Creative Breaks Fund is designed to help you with some of the costs of arranging care support while you get the chance to ‘press the pause button.’
The fund is administered by Sense Scotland and successful applications will be prioritised on carers most in need of a break. For example, people caring for more than one disabled person; carers living in isolated rural areas; or carers from communities that traditionally tend not to seek assistance in the form of a short break. So come on, here’s your chance to put that New Year Resolution into effect – we all need some ‘me time’ after all!
