Our visual art sessions are developed in response to the needs of the individuals and groups who access art. This can take the form of using traditional materials and methods such as drawing and painting, or more explorative options using a variety of sensory materials, textures and smells to create a story or experience. Our visual art tutors are skilled at following the lead of participants, allowing freedom for each individual to develop their own unique creativity.
In the past visual art sessions have led to exploring glass making, ceramics, fashion, museum collections, the environment and tea making, sometimes involving visits to museums, galleries, parks and beaches as part of the project. Artists we support are also given the opportunity to exhibit their works throughout the year.
