Our music sessions offer opportunities for individuals to experience and recognise their own creative, expressive abilities, and also develop a sense of equality with peers and fellow musicians through group sessions and projects.
Participants can benefit through the shared experience and accomplishment of creating recordings and taking part in live performances, or take part in a quieter, calmer sensory session.
We use a wide selection of instruments to suit individual needs, ranging from small handheld instruments, to traditional drums, guitar and piano, and some more specialised electronic equipment like the soundbeam and skoog, which are specifically designed to be sensory. We also now have a fantastic recording facility.
We support musicians to develop their own practice and create innovative new music which has previously led to performances at TouchBase, the CCA, Tramway, GOMA, the Riverside Museum and BBC at the Quay during the Commonwealth Games 2014.
