Practice Share: establishing trustworthy communication partnerships

08 June 2016 2-4pm

This practice sharing event we'll explore how communication develops in the early years and the impact on people with communication support needs.

Who is the session for?

The session is relevant to a wide number of staff teams engaging with early communication partnerships with people of all ages.

About the session

We'll explore how communication develops in the early years for all of us. We'll then use this knowledge to explore what implications this has for people with communication support needs as they begin to develop trusting communication partnerships.

We will draw on learning from Intensive Interaction, co-creative communication and the Connected Baby as well as wider theories in the field of communication.

We will also illustrate the session with films of interactions within Sense Scotland and consider how we can all become effective communication partners.
