First stop was a magical tour of Disney studios via a tram ride. The OGL gang got a sneak peek of how special effects work in the films and even seen a man set on fire!

The group had a ball on the many rides and meeting the Disney characters. But the highlight of the show had to be the Mickey Mouse Magic Show.

The magic of Mickey

OGL members experienced Mickey's magic through stories involving favourite Disney characters including Elsa from Frozen, Beauty and the Beast and all the animals from the Lion King and everyone really enjoyed singing along with the show.

In fact, the gang loved it so much, they all went back the following day for a second helping.

Complete awe

OGL Project Practitioner Shereen Ryan described the reaction from the OGL members: "Everyone absolutely loved it! All our members' faces were amazing, Lit up and in complete awe."

Shereen added: "OGL member Lauren sang her heart out throughout the Mickey Mouse show to songs from Frozen, which brought tears to our eyes. She asked about it constantly until we went back.

"Leann met her idol Mickey Mouse and screamed and waved as he passed in the Disney Park parade and she got a high five from him.

"Osa loved seeing Buzz Lightyear and the Toy Story gang, and loved singing along to "You Got A Friend in Me."

Experience we'll never forget

OGL Project Manager, Margaret McKenzie, said: "It was an absolute pleasure for the team to have the opportunity to be involved. The overall experience of the intense practical support and the emotional element when you see the members' faces light up seeing their favourite characters, is something we'll never forget."

Sharing stories

OGL stayed in a fab country and western themed hotel just ten minutes away from the park. And at the end of each fun-filled day, the group enjoyed meeting back at the hotel, enjoying a relaxing dinner and sharing stories in front of an open fire.
