01 June 2016

Join us in a celebration of the work of the millions of dedicated volunteers across the UK. And what better way than to check out volunteering opportunities with Sense Scotland.

Volunteers are at the very heart of our organisation and complement the work of Sense Scotland.

Volunteering can make a real difference to your life as well as the people we support at Sense Scotland. As well as developing new skills and making new friends, you'll feel a valued part of our team.

Here are just some of the volunteering opportunities at Sense Scotland.

Early Years' Service

Early years 200x200

Our Early Years' Service supports families who live in Scotland and care for an infant or young child who has communication support needs, arising from a range of disabilities.

As a volunteer, we'll try to match you with your preferred role and will offer you support and training throughout.

If you're interested in volunteering with our Early Years' Service, please email rachaelgrant@sensescotland.org.uk

One Giant Leap 200x200

One Giant Leap

One Giant Leap is Sense Scotland's programme for young people with disabilities to help them make the leap from school to adult life.

We're always looking for enthusiastic, energetic volunteers who would like to support young people. There's a big focus on peer support and socialising, so you should enjoy having fun!

You'll help with activity planning and will support young people to access activities such as art, music, drama, dancing, singing, parties, cooking and gardening.

If that sounds like you, then find out more about volunteering with One Giant Leap.

We're always in need of generous people who can spare some of their time to help out in one of our shops.

Our fantastic volunteers help out in many ways and are responsible for carrying out a variety of shop duties.

You'll gain retail experience with full training provided and a qualified member of staff will always be present to lend their support or assistance.

If you feel that you could be a valuable member of our friendly team of volunteers then please contact your local shop for further details.
