High fives all round

Sense Scotland gained top marks at the Quality Scotland 'Recognised for Excellence (R4E) Awards' yesterday (Thursday, June 21), showing the charity's commitment to quality.

The EFQM R4E Award is the most widely used business excellence framework in Europe and the Five-Star award is the top category of accolade.

The charity - awarded Four Stars in 2016 - found out their status at an event hosted by Quality Scotland, the organisation responsible for overseeing European Awards nationwide.

In addition Sense Scotland were named as recipients of the 'Good Practice Award: Leading with Vision, Inspiration and Integrity'.

Recognised for Excellence (R4E) is an international scheme for organisations that demonstrate high levels of performance against the nine criteria of the EFQM Excellence Model - a business excellence framework. Criteria includes looking at aspects like leadership, the people within the organisation, results and impact on stakeholders.

Quality Scotland work with more than 250 organisations across Scotland from the private, public and third sectors.
