Barclays dig in at the OGL allotment

31 March 2016

Our friends from Barclays showed that they're not afraid to get their hands dirty when they came along to help out at the One Giant Leap allotment.

Weeding and lots of hard work

It all started with cup of tea to set us up for what was to be a busy day.

We were then split into groups. Margaret, our One Giant Leap project manager, seeded the greenhouse, planted flowers and a did a spot of cleaning.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group started scrubbing the moss away, weeding and sowing the herbs seeds - followed by a big clean up.

A job well done

We'd like to say a massive thank you to our Barclays volunteers.

It was a tiring day but the group stayed upbeat throughout and worked extremely hard. We're delighted that we completed all the planned work for the day.

The volunteers from Barclays told us they thoroughly enjoyed working with One Giant Leap and that it was the most fun they'd had. They feel it's such a great and worthwhile cause to support - so much so they've promised to come again.
