Edinburgh Teenage skydivers raise around £3000 for Sense Scotland
In March 2004 a group of brave teenagers took time out from their studies to take the plunge for charity. David McCleod, Rotha Shah, Chinar Shekhani, Katie Roxburgh, Tracy Otway, Chloe Francis and Usman Ashraf from Drummond Community High School went Skydiving / parachuting to raise money for the charity Sense Scotland. They made the skydive at an airfield near St Andrews. Sense Scotland works with children and adults who are deafblind and have complex support needs.
The young people met with Sense Scotland staff to hand over the money they raised, nearly £3000. Chinar said:
"It was a great experience, one which none of us will ever forget. I also enjoyed organising the fundraising side nearly as much as the jump itself."
