Suzie set for Tall Ship ghost hunt

Suzie McGuire between two ghosts

Clyde 1’s Suzie McGuire is ready to tackle all things that go bump in the night on a charity event with a difference. The popular drivetime presenter is supporting Sense Scotland’s new series of fundraising challenges by taking part in an overnight ghost hunt at the Tall Ship on Saturday 14th March.

Suzie will join a professional investigation team for a ghost walk and a full range of vigils and experiments in an attempt to detect ghostly activity in all areas of the ship. Past paranormal experience on the ship include shadowy figures on the lower decks and sudden unexplained voices being heard.

Suzie is looking forward to the challenge with just a touch of nerves.

"I’ve never been on a real life ghost hunt before but can’t wait to give it a try. I’ve seen them on TV and even suspect my own house might be haunted so it should be fascinating to see if we catch anything on the night. I just hope I don’t get too scared and end up screaming like a baby!"

Events Fundraiser Andy Hughes explains how popular the ghost hunts have become:

"The Tall Ship will be our fourth event and so far we’ve had a great response and loads of very spooky things happening. The highlight so far has to be someone actually seeing a ghost at our last event at Inveraray Jail. I think people really like the ghost hunts because they are so interactive and also we have no idea what’s going to happen. Although that does mean sometimes people get a bit more than they bargained for!"

If you fancy joining Suzie on the Tall Ship ghost hunt, we still have a few places left. You just need to be able to raise at least £160 for the charity. Call Andy Hughes on: 0141 429 0294 or visit www.funways.org.uk for an entry form.
