Summer thrills for sea or sky adventurers

Picture of a shark

Shark lovers and thrill seekers are being sought to encounter the magnificence of sharks at close hand, by swimming with them. Alternatively daredevils can take part in a sponsored skydive. The events are organised to raise funds for Sense Scotland.

Event Organiser Sara Bannerman said:

Both events are great activities for the summer holidays and we can guarantee that everyone who takes part will have a fantastic day. They will also help us raise funds for children's summer holidays, art and music sessions and many other exciting projects across the country.

The scuba dive takes place at Deep Sea World, North Queensferry in Fife. Participants (who must be 16 or over) will get a safety briefing and training before being fitted with the diving equipment and coming face to face with one of Europe's largest collection of sharks.

There are two types of jump available - a 'Tandem Skydive' from 10,000 feet attached to a professional instructor and a 'Static Line jump', which is performed solo from up to 3,000 feet. Jumps take place from any one of four airfields situated near Stirling, Auchterarder, St Andrews and Errol.

The events take place on various dates throughout the year.
