BBC TV's Roisin and George go to new heights for charity

River City stars Joyce Falconer, who plays Roisin and John Murtagh who plays George, in the hit Scottish soap, left behind the streets of Shieldinch and took a trip to the Southside of Glasgow. On Sunday the 20th June, they took part in a thrilling charity zip slide, with Sense Scotland and Epilepsy Scotland as the main recipients. Joyce said:

"It was great to be asked by Epilepsy Scotland and Sense Scotland to support them at such an exciting event. People should get in touch with the charities, whose work supports so many people across Scotland. You'll be supporting their work, while having the time of your life. I really enjoyed meeting some of the other volunteers, who make days like these so special."

Thanks to all the brave zip-sliders who took part, the event has raised nearly £30,000 for all the charities involved.
