Join thousands for a summer stroll through Edinburgh
Take the Great Scottish Walk for Us

On Sunday 22 June thousands of people of all ages will gather in Edinburgh's Holyrood Park to walk a 12 or 6 mile route which finishes at Meadowbank Stadium. Sense Scotland, which offers innovative support services for deafblind children and adults and those with complex support needs, is looking for people to take part in this great day out while raising money for the charity.

Starting at 11am walkers have the chance to receive a number of titles and certificates, from the 'Great Scottish Walk Golden Mile' (aimed at people with disabilities, the very young and elderly) to team prizes and charity cups for those raising the most money. With the finish in Meadowbank Stadium spectators can cheer participants on while refreshment and entertainment is provided on site.

Jim Ellis, Corporate Fundraiser with Sense Scotland said:

"Sense Scotland has been involved with the Great Scottish Run for a number of years and sees it as a opportunity to get people involved in a fantastic outdoor event for all ages and abilities. We are always looking for people to help us raise money through our programme of events. Over the last couple of years, people have made around £8,000 for the charity, through the walk. Money raised goes towards a range of services we provide, including children's summer holidays, art and music sessions and many other exciting projects across Scotland."
