Djordjic on catwalk at Oran Mor for Sense Scotland fashion show
Rangers player helps Sense Scotland raise thousands for holiday programme
The Sense Scotland Charity Fashion Show in Glasgow's Oran Mor was the place to be on Wednesday 16th February. The annual fashion show is a lead attraction in the Glasgow City of Love Festival and was attended by the Deputy Lord Provost and Councillors. Special guests included Ranger's Bojan Djordjic and the Scottish Rocks and Rockettes. The total raised from the show so far is a magnificent 15,000 through sponsorship, support from businesses and the generosity of the audience who took part in raffles and a silent auction for artworks by Sense Scotland artists.
"Having Oran Mor as the new setting for the fashion show has proved to be a great success," said Gillian Morbey, Chief Executive of Sense Scotland, "All the money raised by the generosity and support of guests, sponsors, individuals and businesses will give a huge boost to our holidays for children and young adults. Id also like to thank the Rangers Charity Foundation and all the models and performers who made it such a magical evening."
Radio Clyde's Adrian Coll hosted the event and highlights included the catwalk appearance by Ranger's midfielder Bojan Djordjic in award winning clothes from Brian Forbes, Catwalk Production's models in the new season's fashions and music by David McCluskey and friends, which rounded off the evening with a real party spirit. Sense Scotland supports children and adults who face challenges because of deafblindness, sensory impairment, learning or physical disability.
Sense Scotland are one of the three charities supported by Rangers Charity Foundation, for the season 2004 -2005.
