Charity panto with a twist for Sense Scotland at Oran Mor
Night of charity pantomime fun for big kids in Glasgow's west end
A group of actors and crew have got together to put on a charity panto in Glasgow's Oran Mor, to raise money for Sense Scotland. 'Oh Yes He Is!', which will run in the evening of Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th of December, is aimed at an adult audience, offering a great night out at the west end venue and the chance to win raffle prizes. The team came up with the idea of using the west end venue for a local panto, for local people, aimed at an adult audience who are looking for an entertaining night out in a great setting.
"I thought it would be fun to offer people who like a good night out in the west end something different in the lead up to Christmas,"explained Jon Reid who works for Sense Scotland and is the director of the show. "Oran Mor seemed like the perfect venue and it was a great chance to raise money for Sense Scotland, who work with disabled children and adults and have a great interest in arts and performance."
The panto has been written by local author Alister Fraser. His daughter Laura, who is a well known Scottish Actor (most recently seen as the wife of Casanova in the BBC production) will choreograph the show. So altogether, what is on offer is a great night out in a local west-end venue, offering a lot of Christmas fun for one and all.
