Call for volunteer fundraisers
3 Reasons to Become a Volunteer Fundraiser for Sense Scotland...
"Sense Scotland currently have opportunities for parents to become involved in the Volunteer Fundraising Group in Glasgow," explained Roy Cox, Sense Scotland Chairman and Volunteer Fundraising Group member. "As many of you may know, the group has raised thousands of pounds over the years, all of which has directly funded vital services for the people we support throughout Scotland."
Reason 1
We are appealing for new volunteers from both families and carers supported by Sense Scotland as well as the wider public. I believe it is extremely important for us to retain a core representation from Sense Scotland families, who are acutely aware of the need for the support and services offered by Sense Scotland. Families and carers can work closely with, motivate and inspire other volunteers.
Reason 2
The Volunteer Fundraising Group has recently developed a new and exciting vision to grow our activity, firstly in Glasgow, and then in other key service areas throughout Scotland. Our target for the first 18 months is to raise £25,000 by working together on a range of fundraising events and community projects. We are at an extremely exciting stage, where we have the potential to make a very significant fundraising contribution to Sense Scotland.
Reason 3
We need volunteers in order to achieve these goals. The most important thing volunteers can contribute is the desire to help and a willingness to devote a bit of time and energy to the group. We are looking for go-getters, organisers, do-ers, people with business contacts; basically a range of different people with a wide range of skills and attributes.
If you want to help and would like to find out more about the Volunteer Fundraising Group (without obligation), please phone Sense Scotland today on 0141 429 0294 and ask for Andy Hughes in the fundraising department.
