The Ben Nevis Challenge
Date: Friday 12th - Sunday 14th September
Location: Fort William, Scotland
We are looking for people with a taste for outdoor adventure and a love of breathtaking scenery. As well as enjoying a fun packed weekend in the highlands, walkers will also be raising money for Sense Scotland. The charity provides services for children and adults who have complex support needs because of deafblindness or sensory impairment, learning disability or physical disability.
On Friday afternoon a coach will take the walkers from Glasgow to spend two nights at a Fort William hotel (full board is provided). The highland adventurers will also be joined by Joanna, who is dual sensory impaired, and will also be taking on Britain?s highest mountain, at 4,406ft, on Saturday. Everyone who takes part will receive a certificate of achievement at the celebratory Saturday night dinner.
Sara Bannerman who is taking on the challenge said:
I am the events organiser for Sense Scotland and this event sounded like such a great weekend that I wanted to be part of it. As a complete novice I think the climb will be a real challenge for me. However, my thought was, if Joanna can do it, well so can I. So join us!?
