Activities

 

Stained glass windows

Timescale:
Around 30 mins.
Materials:
Assorted coloured cellophane sheets (failing this different coloured crepe paper), black card, pencil, craft knife, glue, Blu-tac.
Step 1:
Draw out any Christmas shape on the black card e.g. an angel.
Step 2:
Using the craft knife and taking care, cut out the shape carefully. Turn the card over and smear the reverse of the card with the glue.
Step 3:
Rip or cut the coloured paper into strips and stick these anywhere at all ensuring that the shape is fully covered.
Step 4:
Wait until dry and then Blu-tac to a window. Alternatively, thread with wire and hang from tree, in doorways or outside.
Handy hints:
Make sure your materials are non-toxic.
Don't leave children alone to do this activity.
Take care with sharp objects.
