Winter collage
- Timescale:
- 20 mins to 1 hour. Session can be done in stages over a few sessions.
- Materials:
- Thick card or a wooden board, PVA glue (ordinary school glue), found objects such as twigs, pine cones, leaves. Cotton wool, paint glitter or glitter spray.
- Step 1:
- Go on a winter walk and collect suitable materials such as twigs, pine cones, leaves and collect in a bag or suitable container.
- Step 2:
- Have a remembering story telling session remembering the walk and exploring found objects.
- Step 3:
- Use PVA to glue objects onto thick card or wooden board.
- Step 4:
- Materials such as cotton wool could be added to recreate the snow.
- Step 5:
- Finishing touches with paints, glitter or glitter spray may be added to finish off.
- Handy hints:
- Ensure that any glitter sprays used are non-toxic.
