Activities

 

Chalky Paint

Timescale:
20 mins - 1 hour
Materials:
  • Sticks of chalk
  • Strong plastic bags
  • Rolling pin / wooden block / hammer (supervise!)
  • Water
  • Black paper (cotton buds may be useful)
Step 1:
Put sticks of chalk into strong plastic bags and crush to a powder using rolling pins, wooden blocks or hammers
Step 2:
Cover the bag with a towel to make this part quieter and safer.
Step 3:
Mix with a little water until you get a paint like consistency.
Step 4:
Paint onto black paper, try using cotton buds.
Handy hints:
Paint outside on slabs and fences and wash off with water or let the rain wash it off.
