Activities

 

Bubble Landing

Timescale:
Whole session 20 - 30 mins.
Materials
  • Big sheet of paper (eg wallpaper is ideal)
  • Powder paint
  • Fine sieve
  • Water (something to spray water with)
  • Straws
Step 1:
Spread a big sheet of paper on the floor.
Step 2:
Spoon powder paint into a fine sieve and shake gently over the paper.
Step 3:
Stand or kneel at the edge and blow bubbles over the paper, as they land and burst they will make a design in the powder paint.
Option 1:
Spray water onto the powdery paper.
Option 2:
mix paint into the bubble mixture and blow onto paper.
Option 3:
.mix powder paint with water and washing up liquid, put into a bowl or cup and blow bubbles with a straw (make sure young children know to blow not suck)
Option 4:
take a print of the bubbles by laying a sheet of paper gently over them.

Please ensure that the materials you use are non-toxic.
