Blindfold painting

Timescale:
20 mins - 1 hour
Materials:
  • Easel (or a wall you don’t mind getting messy)
  • Big sheets of paper (wallpaper is great)
  • Paints
  • Brushes
Step 1:
Cover a wall with paper or use an easel
Step 2:
(For children who are not blind or visually impaired) Let them feel the paper, paints and brushes with their eyes closed first then blindfold and guide them to the paper
Step 3:
Ask them to tell you about what they are painting.
Step 4:
Ensure that any child who is to wear a blindfold is happy to do so, and is supervised while wearing it.
