Snowballs
- Timescale:
- 5 mins to 1 hour. Session could be done in stages over a few sessions.
- Materials:
- Various paper, masking tape, PVA glue, cotton wool, glitter or glitter spray.
- Step 1:
- Explore different papers (sizes do not matter as long as they are not too small).
- Step 2:
- Scrunch paper up into ball shapes (various sizes) and wrap with masking tape to secure the ball shape.
- Step 3:
- Use PVA (ordinary school glue which dries clear) to attach cotton wool strips or balls onto the outside.
- Step 4:
- Add glue and glitter or glitter spray to finish up.
- Handy hints:
- This activity is great after a snowy day allowing participants to explore the snow and snow balls.
- Make sure your materials are non-toxic.
- The activity can be used as a remembering session.
- Snowballs can be kept under the Christmas tree with parcels or attached to string and hung from ceiling as if being thrown through the air.
