Timescale:
5 mins to 1 hour. Session could be done in stages over a few sessions.
Materials:
Various paper, masking tape, PVA glue, cotton wool, glitter or glitter spray.
Step 1:
Explore different papers (sizes do not matter as long as they are not too small).
Step 2:
Scrunch paper up into ball shapes (various sizes) and wrap with masking tape to secure the ball shape.
Step 3:
Use PVA (ordinary school glue which dries clear) to attach cotton wool strips or balls onto the outside.
Step 4:
Add glue and glitter or glitter spray to finish up.
Handy hints:
This activity is great after a snowy day allowing participants to explore the snow and snow balls.
Make sure your materials are non-toxic.
The activity can be used as a remembering session.
Snowballs can be kept under the Christmas tree with parcels or attached to string and hung from ceiling as if being thrown through the air.
Please read the Things you need think about first section section before you prepare for this activity.
