Donating goods to Sense Scotland has triple benefits. It helps to raise much needed income to support disabled children and adults. Goods are re-used and find another home. And anything we can't sell is recycled rather than going to landfill.
Sense Scotland charity shops always appreciate your donations. We try to obtain the most value possible from every item that you donate to us. Five pairs of trousers could buy bright wind chimes helping visually impaired children to hear where they are in the garden.
In our larger shops we sell furniture. If you have an item of furniture you wish to donate to support Sense Scotland, please contact your local shop for details. Unfortunately, due to the cost involved in the safe disposal of older foam filled furniture, Sense Scotland reserves the right to refuse certain types of furniture.
Direct to a shop
Sense Scotland welcomes donations direct to our shops. Visiting one of our shops will also give you the chance to check out our stock and to learn more about our work. You can find your local shop here.
Door to door collection sacks
Donation Collectors go door to door, delivering a collection sack with details of our charity. On a designated day, they return to collect any donations. This collector will then return again in approximately six weeks time.
Furniture Collections
This door-to-door service is ideal for when you need to guarantee the safest possibly method of collection for a valuable, delicate or large item, including furniture. Due to the cost involved in the safe disposal of older foam filled furniture, Sense Scotland reserves the right to refuse certain types of furniture. Call 07 717 133 531 (West of Scotland) or 07 717 133 530 (East of Scotland) or book a collection via email.
If you are a UK taxpayer you can help us raise an extra 25% from every item sold in our shops - at no cost to you with Gift Aid.
Just one bag of good quality items sold in our shops can raise up to £20 or more. With Gift Aid, we could claim an extra £5.00 to help fund our life saving work.
