About the conference
This conference will consider a number of theoretical approaches to communication as well as considering practical applications of these. Current thinking from the research field will be explored in plenary sessions and workshops and similarly a number of case studies will be presented that consider how communication partnerships can be developed through structured activities. The conference will firmly set the development of communication within the context of the relationships between communication partners. The conference will be of value to all those involved in planning and providing a range of health, education and support services for people with complex communication needs.
