Video production
With video as one of the principal methods of evaluating our work, the team benefits from access to Andy Crossan, our Video Production Officer, who not only films key sessions and events, but also edits and archives the vast quantity of material generated by the department.
Activities 2006-7
This has been a year of significant growth for the Arts and Wellbeing Service with the introduction of a number of new programmes including Threads, exploring cultural identity and diversity for minority ethnic disabled people; Go for it!, a three year Active Futures funded outdoor activities programme and a series of partnership projects exploring public art and museums and galleries. The 7th Helen Keller International Award, an open multi-media arts competition exploring perceptions of deafblindness was a remarkable success with over 280 entries from across the world.
Arts Services expanded geographically with an artist residency in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire and a musician in residence in Inverness. With the arrival of TouchBase, the new Sense Scotland resource space in Glasgow, the arts will have dedicated spaces for access by service users and the local community and the TouchBase café will become a focal point for exhbition and performance opportunities, putting Sense Scotland an inclusive destination for arts audiences and participants.
